We are hiring the first people

PappaChat is a real product, already in production, with paying customers. Behind it there is still one person. These roles are open to change exactly that.

Open roles

We are not looking for a specific profile right now. Anyone who wants to work with us can still get in touch: we read everything.

There are no open roles right now. Speculative applications are still welcome: tell us what you do in the form below and send your CV by email.

What working here is actually like

Very early stage

We are at the beginning. There is no department to hide in, no process already written, and sometimes Monday's priority is not Thursday's. If that sentence makes you uncomfortable, that is useful information for both of us.

The product is live and pays its own way

This is not an idea waiting for validation: the assistant answers real businesses' customers every day on WhatsApp, Instagram, email and the phone, and the subscriptions pay the bills. What you write ships in days, not quarters.

Small team, short decisions

You talk directly to the person who decides, because it is the same person who writes the code and visits the customers. No committee, no internal deck to prepare.

Trieste, and remote within Italy

The office is in Trieste, which is where the on-site installations start from. Remote works anywhere in Italy, as long as we can meet in person now and then.

10% of net profits goes to charity

It is a public commitment and it holds in the years when profits are small too. Working here, you contribute to that as well.

What we cannot promise

There is no elaborate benefits plan, no pre-allocated training budget and no equity on the table. Pay and contract type get decided together, openly, on the first useful call.

How we hire

Four steps, no surprise tests and no free work disguised as an exercise.

1. Application

You fill in the form below and send a CV, portfolio or public profile by email. We read all of it, personally.

2. First reply

We reply to every application within 10 working days, including when the answer is no. If it is a no, it comes with a line of reasoning.

3. Two conversations

A 30 minute introductory call, then a more technical or practical one on real work: a piece of our code, a simulated demo, a content plan.

4. Offer

If it fits, we put role, pay, contract type and the first-90-days expectations in writing. No pressure deadline to answer.

If at any stage we ask for work we would genuinely use, we pay for it. We do not run unpaid trials.

Speculative application

Tell us what you do and how you think you could be useful. A well-argued application is worth more than a CV sent to a hundred companies, and we read it even when we are not hiring for that role.

Apply: Speculative application

Four fields is all it takes. You send the CV by email straight after: we do not accept file uploads here, and we would rather say so than lose your attachment.

Fields marked with an asterisk are required.

Complete the required fields to send.

We process application data only for the selection process and delete it on request. For everything else the Privacy Policy applies.

Would you rather write directly?

That is fine: send your CV and a couple of lines about yourself to [email protected], with the role in the subject.
